Therése "Tiee" Granholm

There is something inside me that wants to tell stories, and my way of bringing my stories to life is through my art. Each painting carries an unwritten tale, or many tales, perhaps. I think that you as a viewer see that story in the paintings, in your own special way.

Nature is my inspiration. I am also inspired by the romantic era and exploring the sublime, by fairy tales and legends, fantasy and reality. I work mainly in ink and watercolours, but also in oil.

I am currently living in Hudiksvall in Hälsingland, Sweden, where I work both as an art teacher in The School of Music and Arts in Hudiksvall, as well as with my own art. I have previously studied Comics and visual narrative at Malmö University and Visual Narrative at the University of Art and Design in Gothenburg, as well as independent courses in graphic design and digital creation. I gradueted as an art teacher at Umeå University in 2024. Over the years, I have had exhibitions in Sundsvall, Stockholm and Malmö, among other places.
